Finally upgraded

I finally upgraded my iPhone to an iPhone 3G this weekend.
Or more precisely, I bought my lovely wife an iPhone 3G and thought I might as well get one for myself at the same time
To keep things simple, hers is black, mine is white, although I have to say, the black one does [...]

Lane assist

My TomTom (GO520) got a software upgrade yesterday, and seems to have gained three new features:
1. Kate now stutters
2. Kate now tells me she can’t find a faster route (IQ maps or something)
3. Lane assist
This last one is extraordinary.
It puts up a diagram of the lanes ahead with green arrows on the one you [...]

Clean up

When I joined Lehman in April 2007, the systems and processes imposed by the US part of our global team were very messy and required a large amount of man-power just to keep going. The philosophy seemed to be “long hours = good work.”
I’ve long wanted to clean this all up, but it’s just not [...]

I wonder….

… if Obama will get through four years without starting a war with anyone?

Xbox Lobotomy

Getting it up

It took a while, but after a lot of hard work by the team, we finally got it up.
Where ‘it’ is the One True Global* Puma.

* the other Puma being the dodgy one that only runs in the US

Hulk

I watched The Incredible Hulk at the weekend (the one with Edward Norton).
For some reason I thought that most people believed that the previous film was rubbish and this was much better, even good, but I didn’t think so.
Or maybe I imagined that.
Anyway, how Norton got an Oscar nomination for it is beyond me. Hurt [...]

Christmas

A number of people I see and people in the media are groaning about it still being October yet the Christmas decorations are up in some places, Christmas ads in magazines and shops etc, and it’s true, it’s all a bit much.
But the other day, whilst in Sainsbury’s, I saw Hot Cross Buns!
That’s like half [...]

Gran Turismo

I’ve given up waiting for the full version of GT5 to come out on the PS3, so will just go back and play GT4 on the PS2 all over again.
It’s still a great game.

Scottish Banks

I wonder what the Scottish Nationalists think about the UK government taking controlling stakes in RBS and HBOS.
