Yesterday, I was on the phone to my mum, saying how I’d been feeling fine for the last two weeks, that the trip to see a proper doctor in the week had filled me with confidence and that all was well in the world.
Two or three hours later, I was back in the familiar pattern of pacing around in pain.
It’s probably my fault, being cocky about my apparent good health and throwing caution to the wind with my food choices, but I am now reminded that I am not, in fact, well, and had just masked the symptoms by having a non-dodgy diet.
So for now it’s back to boring food again, or at least cutting out anything overly fatty (which we think is the main trigger).
I’ve got a scan and possible subsequent endoscopy examination this coming week, so hopefully complete diagnosis will be forthcoming.
In the meantime, I’ll take comfort in being 10.5kg lighter today than I was on December 1st, even after a week or two of eating fairly normally.

Is curry back off the menu?
We’ll have to see. I think I should be ok though.
