Women in IT

It is oft observed that there are few women in IT. Certainly, in my experience, there have been a lot more blokes than women, but today, I particularly observed:

my wife is in IT (and proper development too, I’m rather pleased to say)
in my team at work, women out-number chaps 2:1
the big boss of IT is [...]

Clean

So, I did some research (Google is rubbish, by the way) and found a reputable drive-through car wash at the big Sainsbury’s in Greenwich. Bit of a trek, but everything else nearby looks highly dubious.

Yawn

Partly because I didn’t get enough sleep… and partly because it’s 6.30am and we still don’t know who’s the new London Mayor. Lucky I didn’t stay up.

Elections

It’s the London Mayoral Elections today and for the London Assembly - whatever that is.
I registered to vote by post, but of course forget to get it sorted in time. I’m not sure who I’d have voted for anyway. Plenty of candidates that are a joke, and the few sensible ones seem lacking.
Still, a change [...]

Blog resurrection

Due to an accident (info here) I’ve had to resurrect my blog, but I’m in two minds as to whether to fully recover all old posts… maybe this can be a new beginning.
