Women in IT

It is oft observed that there are few women in IT. Certainly, in my experience, there have been a lot more blokes than women, but today, I particularly observed:
- my wife is in IT (and proper development too, I’m rather pleased to say)
- in my team at work, women out-number chaps 2:1
- the big boss of IT is a women
No point to this really, just a happy observation.

Pretty unusual in my experience. Have you noticed any differences in the way activities are carried compared to previous more male dominated places you’ve worked at?
Well, women are generally better communicators, so things tend to happen more smoothly (more direct discussion, less planning by email).
Far less farting is permitted, but that’s a small price to pay
