MacBook

After the demise of my iBook, we needed a replacement for wireless interwebbing at home.

Lo! a shiny new MacBook has been ordered and shall be delivered in a week or two, but why does ‘3 days’ on Apple’s website always translate to two weeks once they’ve taken your payment?

This really p***ed me off last year when I bought my MacBook. I think it was deliberately misleading.

The site says something like ‘Normally ships within 3 days’ - No where on the site does it say ‘Ships from China’. True it doesn’t say ‘Ships from Brighton’ but someone you expect ‘3 days’ to mean ‘I’ll have it in about 4′.

It’s well known that when you buy off the mac website that the hardware then needs to perform its world tour visiting all the sites before finally ending up in Holland, then being passed over from K&N to some other courier that has a tracking page that works before you get the item delivered.

It is to make you all excited and then the actual delivery far more exciting! The thrill of the journey and all that!
