Still much joy!
Yesterday, I went for lunch in Jubilee Place shopping centre (Canary Wharf) with a friend who also has an iPhone.
Yes, a bit sad, but the purpose was to test the iPhone with The Cloud, the WiFi hotspot network that’s free for iPhones.
It was very good, very fast. Certainly as fast as my home WiFi connection. I also have Cloud access from my Nintendo DS, but that was no-where near as good as this.
Lunch at Cafe Brerra was good too ![]()
Wrinkle? Well, it looks like I’m not going to get WiFi access at work after all, so I have to turn off WiFi in the iPhone whilst in the building. It doesn’t seem possible to say: never ask me to join this network, so it’s all or nothing. It does save on battery though, I suppose.

Yes, I’ve found it’s very good at finding networks and asking if you want to join them… which is a pain on the train so I’ve told it to stop asking me and to just join the ones I’ve told it to.
Have the uber headphones now, spend my entire day plugged into the iPhone and no longer miss calls/etc from having my music too loud
What were uber headphones you purchased?
These, although mine are black.
Actually, more specifically these
