Mini died

My Mac Mini has died :(
It failed to boot one day.
Booting from setup disc, then running Disk Utility showed loads of disk errors, and it couldn’t fix them.
Hardware diagnostics said all was OK.
Re-installing didn’t help as disk was still very corrupt.
Single-user mode and several iterations of fsck didn’t fix it.

Ended up repartitioning disk, reinstalling the OS and all was well for while, then same symptoms… can’t boot.

Seems running a Mini 24/7 for a year is not good for it.

Looks like a visit to the Apple Store is in order…. and (of course) AppleCare just expired :(

:( That doesn’t bode well for my mini. That said, the 1Gb hard drive that was strapped to mine and that died when I moved to deptford seems to have suddenly started working again since I moved to Colchester. Maybe it doesn’t like SE8. If Apple care doesn’t fix it might I recomend moving house as a solution?
