On Wii

Very happy with my Wii.
Setup was a breeze. The sensor bar was not as fiddly as I expected. Connecting it to my wireless network was easy and all was generally intuitive without the need to read the manual. Updating the firmware over the wire took a while, but that’s ok.

Relieved!

My Wii has arrived! Finally! Hurrah!

Unfortunately, I don’t have time to play right now, so will have to wait a few more hours.

Wii are losing patience

Got a phone call from Pissy PC World this morning about my Wii. Very nice lady explained that DHL could not deliver my Wii and returned it due to “security” reasons, and that this usually means that there is some confusion of the address.

Got an iPod? Forget Vista

It’s quite well known now that if you’re a PC user and run Vista, you are going to have trouble with iTunes and your iPod. Now it looks like there are lots of Apple products that don’t work well with Microsoft’s new offering.
I wonder why this is? Did Apple do nothing until the release? Microsoft [...]

Vista Wow? Yawn

Someone sent me a link to the Windows Vista Wow Prize draw, where you get to watch three demos of Vista, then get free entry into a prize draw.
I needed a laugh, so why not?
Like Vista, you need to click endlessly on a sequence of buttons to get anything done, with an annoying perceptible delay [...]
